Six AI Stock Picks Up 34%–95% as October List Goes Live

Six AI-Selected Stocks Are Up 34%–95%: October List Goes Live

Artificial intelligence is increasingly being used not only to build products and services but also to screen investment opportunities. A new update from Investing.com highlights six stocks that its AI-powered ProPicks strategies had previously selected and that have since delivered gains ranging from 34.4% to 95.3%.

The list includes companies from very different industries, including energy, technology, cloud services and financial markets. The strongest performer, Everforth, has gained 95.3% since being selected on July 1, 2026, according to Investing.com.

The October 2026 list has now been rebalanced, making the update particularly relevant for investors interested in quantitative and AI-driven stock screening.

Six AI-Selected Stocks That Delivered Strong Gains

According to Investing.com's latest update, the six highlighted performers are:

StockSectorGain Since Selection
Everforth (EFOR)IT services+95.3%
CVR Energy (CVI)Energy/refining+76.0%
Delek US Holdings (DK)Energy/refining+75.4%
HF Sinclair (DINO)Energy/refining+59.1%
Consensus Cloud Solutions (CCSI)Cloud/healthcare technology+49.4%
Microsoft (MSFT)Technology+34.4%

The gains are measured from the respective dates when the stocks were added to the relevant InvestingPro AI strategy, rather than from the beginning of 2026. That distinction is important because the holding periods are different.

Everforth Leads the Group With a 95% Gain

Everforth is the standout performer in the latest list, with a reported 95.3% gain since its July 1 selection.

The company is part of the IT-services segment, showing that the AI screening process was not restricted to large technology companies directly associated with artificial intelligence. Instead, the strategy looks across a much wider universe of businesses.

This is an important distinction for investors. An AI stock-picking model does not necessarily mean buying companies that manufacture AI chips or operate generative-AI platforms. It can also identify companies where valuation, earnings momentum, profitability or other financial characteristics appear attractive.

Energy Stocks Make Up a Large Part of the Winners

Three of the six highlighted stocks are energy and refining companies.

CVR Energy gained 76.0% after its August 1 selection, while Delek US Holdings rose 75.4% following its March 1 selection. HF Sinclair gained 59.1% after being added on June 1.

Their presence demonstrates another feature of quantitative stock-selection strategies: sector exposure can change significantly depending on market conditions.

Refiners, for example, can be influenced by crude-oil prices, refining margins, fuel demand, inventory conditions and broader commodity-market movements. A stock can therefore perform strongly even without being directly connected to the AI investment theme.

For investors, this reinforces the importance of understanding why a model selected a stock rather than simply focusing on the label "AI pick."

Microsoft and Consensus Cloud Solutions Add the Technology Angle

Microsoft gained 34.4% from its July 1 selection, making it the lowest-returning stock among the six highlighted names, although a gain of more than 34% remains substantial. Consensus Cloud Solutions rose 49.4% from its February 1 selection.

Microsoft is particularly interesting because its investment case combines established software and cloud operations with its growing AI ecosystem.

Consensus Cloud Solutions represents a different type of technology exposure, with recurring-revenue characteristics and cloud-based services.

The two companies therefore illustrate how AI-powered screening can identify opportunities across both mega-cap technology and smaller specialised businesses.

The Bigger Point Is the Screening Process

Investing.com says its AI-powered stock picker evaluates thousands of global equities using more than 15 years of financial data and more than 150 quantitative models. The system considers factors including historical data, valuation signals and forward-looking growth metrics, with strategies rebalanced monthly.

That approach is fundamentally different from simply asking an AI chatbot to name stocks.

A quantitative model can systematically compare companies using predefined financial variables, while a human investor can then examine the underlying business, valuation, industry conditions and risks.

This combination may be more useful than treating an AI-generated stock list as an automatic investment recommendation.

Why October's New List Matters

The October list was rebalanced on October 1, 2026. Investing.com says new names have rotated into the strategies across multiple sectors, while the next scheduled rebalance is November 1. (Investing.com)

The previous winners provide evidence of how quickly a quantitative strategy can identify stocks that subsequently outperform. However, they do not establish that the October selections will generate similar returns.

That distinction is critical.

Past performance can demonstrate what a model has achieved historically, but it cannot guarantee future performance. Stocks that have already risen sharply may also face higher expectations, profit-taking or valuation risks.

Ameriprise Shows How Fundamentals Can Become a Catalyst

The latest update also highlights Ameriprise Financial as an example of how a model's selection can be followed by fundamental catalysts.

Ameriprise's board authorised an additional $5.5 billion share-repurchase programme on September 29, 2026, extending the authorisation through September 30, 2028. The company also had approximately $1.1 billion remaining under an earlier programme as of June 30.

Investing.com said its models had identified Ameriprise on June 1, before the company's second-quarter earnings beat and the later buyback announcement. The position was reportedly up 10.13% from the model's selection point at the time of the latest article.

This example highlights an important concept: quantitative models may identify financial characteristics before a separate corporate catalyst becomes visible to the wider market.

What Investors Should Watch

For Indian investors looking at AI-based stock-picking strategies, the main lesson is not to copy individual US stocks blindly.

Instead, investors should examine the selection methodology, valuation, earnings quality, debt, cash flow, sector conditions and the reason behind the stock's momentum.

The other important factor is diversification. The six highlighted winners came from multiple industries, demonstrating that market opportunities do not necessarily move together.

Investors should also remember that a stock that has already risen 50%, 75% or 95% may have a very different risk-reward profile from the same stock when it was initially selected.

Bottom Line

Investing.com's latest update shows six AI-selected stocks with gains ranging from 34.4% to 95.3%, led by Everforth, while energy companies such as CVR Energy, Delek US Holdings and HF Sinclair also delivered strong gains. Microsoft and Consensus Cloud Solutions added technology exposure to the group.

The more important takeaway is that AI-driven investing is increasingly being used as a systematic screening tool, rather than simply as a way to identify popular AI companies. October's new list will provide another test of whether valuation, profitability, momentum and other quantitative signals can continue to identify attractive opportunities.

For investors, the key is to treat such lists as a starting point for research—not as automatic Buy signals—and to watch whether the underlying business fundamentals continue to support the market's expectations.
